Powernet's broadband solutions give you high speed access to the Internet over a standard BT telephone line with a selection of features and service levels designed to give your business exactly what it needs:

• Download speeds of up to 8Mb/s*
• Upload speeds of up to 448Kb/s with Broadband MAX and 832Kb/s with Broadband MAX+*
• Unlimited downloads subject to our Fair Use Policy
• Static IP address - Your own Static IP address that never changes enabling you to link to services hosted on the Internet, such as hosted web space and hosted e-mail. Using a static IP is also useful for logging into VPN's and other firewall controlled networks.
• Free email POP accounts
• FREE Virus scanning and anti-spam protection** - Powernet Protectamail email filter makes sure you only get the mail you actually want.
• UK based telephone technical support - Powernet technical support is at standard UK national rates (no expensive 0870 or 0871 rates)
• A choice of three service levels (Basic, Enhanced and Premier) designed to give your business flexible options at an affordable price - Powernet offer a flexible service that allows you to add extra features as and when you need them. Business customers can rely on Powernet's support packages that guarantee to keep your business connected.

Optional Extras

• Enhanced Care - In the event of a fault BT quote a 'Fix Commit Time' of 48 hours, this is a 'best efforts' approach and offers no guarantees. With Enhanced Care, BT guarantees a fix time of 24 hours, with service credits available if this time is not met.
• Additional IP Addresses - If network address translation (NAT) and virtual IP addresses are not suitable for your requirements, additional blocks of IP addresses can be purchased.
• 4 Port Broadband Router - If you do not already have a router or modem, we can supply one pre-configured to work with your account.
• Power Care on Router - A Powernet supplied router will be covered by the manufacturers warranty. With Power Care, we guarantee to supply you with a replacement pre-configured router by courier for the next business day.
• Broadband Splitter - If you have multiple telephone sockets on the same number, each additional socket will require a broadband splitter in order to continue working.
• Email POP Accounts - Additional email accounts are available in addition to the accounts included for FREE for a small additional charge.
• Anti-Virus and Spam Filtering - In order to protect you from potential threats, this service is available for a small charge on additional email accounts or the Basic service level offering. It is included for FREE on our Premier service levels.

*Actual upload and download speed will vary depending upon your distance from the exchange and quality of the line. BT Wholesale estimate that 78% of customers will achieve download speeds of 4Mb/s and above. Broadband MAX and Broadband MAX+ are contended services and as such, at peak times data throughput may be lower than the actual line speed.

**Virus scanning and anti-spam protection is a chargeable option on our Basic and Enhanced levels of service. It is free on our Premier package only and is valid for one domain per Premier account. Contact us for further details of our three different service levels.
